One major problem with cloud based services, is determining how you are going to keep a backup you can trust. With Google Docs it became a whole lot easier with version 5 of my favorite file synchronization utility, Super Flexible File Synchronizer. It’s now possible to set Google Docs as either a source or destination for synchronization. Docs files are converted to .doc, .xls etc.
Just set up Google Docs as the source, and a local directory as the destination, and schedule it. Optionally you can keep multiple versions of files. Now you have a copy of everything in case something happens to your account. Couldn’t be easier, really.
